3 out of 5 stars PSP Go!Cam   January 10, 2009

Positives - Very well made, that is undeniable. Great little "toy" for the PSP if you want to use it as a camera (and why not!) Audio works well enough.

Negatives - Why oh why does this not provide video when using SKYPE which is why I bought the thing! More importantly, why did none of the reviews reflect this 100% glaring omission???? :-(

So, as a toy - Great. If you are purchasing to use with SKYPE, be aware that you do not get video. You have been warned!!!!!

this small camera is very good and easy to use at first i had a bit of trouble getting it started but now it works fine and the filming works well to.To get the most out of the camers i advise you to get a 4gb memory card because you have to download the go!edit softwear and if you have games saves on there that takes up place to but all in all im really peased with it ITS A MUST GET FOR PSP OWNERS !!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Nice piece of kit   May 26, 2007

Got this on the day of release (Amazon superb as usual) and it's an impressive little gadget, not to be taken too seriously, though. It takes seconds to connect to the PSP and I started taking decent quality photos and movies immediately. Obviously not a digital camera replacement, but I don't think it was ever intended to be.
The Go! Edit software that I presumed would come on a CD, had to be downloaded from Sony and it took a lot of messing about before it would download properly. You don't have to download it if you don't want to and I found it a bit too gimmicky. Kids will probably have some fun with it, though. Overall, a nice little piece of kit.

4 out of 5 stars GREAT CAM WITH LOADS OF EXTRAS!   May 25, 2007

I received the PSP Go! Cam this morining!! Was really pleased with the presentation of the game and was so suprised of how tiny the camera actually is! The camera fits perfectly into the PSP and is easy to connect. The PSP also comes with downloadable software from the PSP website. The camera may not be for people who like high res pics and iamges. It is just a TOY and is great for playing around with your mates with!

Overal i would highly recommend this game for the quality of it but also the price of it! At only around £30.00 it is a great gadget to have! You would pay this amount of money or more for a game anyway!

5 out of 5 stars Go!Cam (PSP)   June 3, 2007

I received the Go!Cam (PSP)from Amazon just 2 days after I ordered it and within 10 minutes I was using the camera. This tiny camera is 1.3 megapixel image & 30 FPS video quality and there is a built in microphone which works fine although the PSP seems to interfere with it. The 180 degree swivel for the lens is great as one can do video diaries and there is a Many mobile phones have this quality or better but are limited in screen size and memory. The PSP screen is big but in daylight difficult to see. The digital zoom is not that great and is stepped in 4 levels.

The Go!Cam has several adjustments for size and quality. Videos can be taken at full PSP res (480x272) at 30 fps and photos can be taken at either 480x272 or 640x480.

I have added 2 outdoor images so you can see for yourself.

I downloaded the latest firmaware update which has a camera icon under the Photo section. It does what it says and adds a new dimension to the PSP. There is a tiny plastic case which is a very good idea.

I can connect via USB cable to the PS3, swap memory stick of transfer my images and films to my PC and then play from my PS3 and copy to the PS3 HD. I have yet to figure out how to transfer via WiFi from PSP to PS3.

I am having problems registering for the free Go Edit! software as my PSP was purchased out from Lik-Sang in Hong Kong which Sony's lawyers have now closed down.

Good value! When will the PSP GPS be available?
