5 out of 5 stars Nunchuk IS compatible   April 2, 2008

There have been a few reviews that say the nunchuk isnt compatible with this gun, but it is. Rather than plugging directly into the regular port iin the back of the Wii-mote, there is a slot for it at the bottom of the pistol grip, which is a lot more comfortable than if the wire was sticking out of the back. This complaint was one of the reasons I was unsure about buying this, so ignore the comments claiming you cant use the Nunchuk.

Anyway, I recieved this today and I am very happy with it. Although I havent recieved Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (the game I bought it for) through the post yet, it feels very comfortable, and seems responsive. I have tested it with Red Steel, and its as easy, if not easier to control than normal, and the gun feels about the same weight as a regular arcade handgun. Aiming is comfortable, and the sensor being higher that if you were holding it normally doesnt feel off.

A great buy for the low cost it is, and since it uses the original Wii-mote there is no real worry that the gun wont function properly, or not at all, as I've experienced with Light gun accessories in the past on my PS2.

Obviously the face buttons of the Wiimote are situated on top of the gun when in use, but generally when playing the kind of games it is built for these buttons wont be used much, since shooters are more focused on point + B.

Now I just need my copy of RE:UC and I can use it for the reason I paid for it!

This is prfect for house of the dead, it is well balanced and the spring loaded trigger feels great. you can plug the nunchuck into the bottom of the handle if you need to. it feels well made and more authentic than the blaster. ok you don't get a game with it but it is essential for a real light gun experiance.

5 out of 5 stars wii light gun - venom   April 1, 2008

Just got this gun today from amazon, have only used it with 'Links Crossbow Training' so far, but i think it's great(i found the wii zapper awkward).
It's a nice size, fits well in the hand. The wiimote fits in snugly and there's a fold up clasp under the front tip of the barrel to make sure it doesn't move if you need to shake the gun.
The trigger feels nicely sprung and realistic and the whole unit feels solid and well made.
The nunchuck plugs into the bottom of the pistol grip and you hold the nunchuck in your other hand.
All in all a very capable addition to your wii accesories, i'd recommend it!
Hope this is helpful for anyone looking for a wii light gun.

5 out of 5 stars Improve your gameplay!   July 6, 2008

This Wii gun is an essential part of your gameplay if you really want to have fun with those shooting games on the Wii. I use it for all my shooting games (e.g House of the Dead, resident Evil). For those games where you need your Nunchuck you can plug it in and away you go. Makes it so much easier just pressing the trigger.

4 out of 5 stars Venon Light Blaster Fun   July 3, 2008

The gun is a great addition to the shooting games, it definitely makes it more fun to play the games. The gun ideally needs to be pointed a little further up than you would the wii remote as the sensor is a bit further down, so the aim needs a little refinement.

The nunchuck fits in fine with it, we have Resident Evil and Wii Play which we have used the gun with and it's absolutely great.
