Product Description
The Black Knight is back like you've never seen him before! From Traveler's Tales, the creators of the Lego Star Wars games, comes Lego Batman. Pulling inspiration from the gamut of bat history, this action-packed Batman experiences lets you play as Batman, Robin or more than 12 dastardly villains -- all in their super-fun LEGO form! There's been a big break-out from Arkham Asylum. Batman must again face against classic bad guys and girls like the Joker and Catwoman. Designed for standard two-player, drop-in/out cooperative play, Lego Batman is broken up into 18 levels, with three different story arcs (that's six levels per story arc). Lego Batman lets you play in both hero and villain story modes, as well as a free-play mode. The Batcave serves as the natural hub area for Batman while Arkham Asylum is the hub for villains. Lego Batman lets you build and take control of Lego versions of your favorite vehicles like the Batmobile, Batboat and the Batwing. As you collect various Lego pieces throughout a level, you'll develop special superhero power suits to give you extra moves. The bad guys come with their own evil perks. For instance, the Joker electrifies enemies and powers machines with his electric buzzer and Harley Quinn soars above other characters with her super-jump. - Play as Batman, Robin or more than 12 dastardly villains -- all in super-fun LEGO form
- Master special superhero power-suits and new moves, along with the weapons unique for each character
- Build and drive Lego versions of favorite vehicles like the Batmobile, Batboat and the Batwing
- Customize characters, build and transform game environments, and challenge yourself with multi-layered collectibles and rewards
- Designed for standard two-player, drop-in/out cooperative play

Lego's not quite done it again... December 30, 2008 Tasha (England) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I got this game for xmas and had high hopes for it given that I really enjoyed Lego Indiana Jones. Unfortunately it doesn't have nearly the same amount of 'wow' power.
Don't get me wrong, it IS a good game and will keep you entertained for a fair while but it is simply not up to the same standards. Perhaps one of the reasons for this is because it has no definite storyline to follow. Indiana (I think Star Wars too though having not played it I'm not certain) at least followed the movies. Lego Batman seems to follow a made up storyline created purely for the game...and I believe this is partially where I found it lacking.
However, if you like Lego games and you like Batman or anything Batman related I am confident you will like this. Again we see well known characters reduced to blocks of lego and as always there is a certain appeal to that. One of my more favourite aspects of the game is the range of characters and vehicles and abilities that can be controlled; including but not limited to characters that are rarely seen in other games, tv shows or other franchises half the time.
The only other thing to be said about it is that, in some ways it is harder than Lego Indiana and in other ways far easier. More notable I found was the frustration that I had to practically complete 2 chapters (both hero and villain levels) before I could properly go on collecting the items found in each level. Otherwise you do not have a particular character or vehicle or suit needed in which to complete the level...well unless you like repeating a level 4 or 5 times anyway.
So, why did I give it 3 stars?
Cons:
1. Storylines were not involving enough.
2. Slower loading times.
3. Not enough variety in puzzles or in obtaining the 'mini-kits'.
4. Over too quickly except for 'rounding up' the items in each level/chapter.
Pros:
1. Ability to unlock and play characters such as 'Nightwing', 'Manbat', old style 'Batgirl', 'Killer Croc' and many more.
2. Each character has abilities that fits in with the Batman franchise, such as 'Poison Ivy's kiss of death as a fighting technique', 'Two-Face flipping a coin', 'Nightwing performing better backflips than Robin or Batgirl' etc etc.
3. Typical Lego humour.
4. Keeps you busy game
Overall, it did keep me entertained for a short while and was amusing while it lasted but if your're hoping for something as good as or better than the previous Lego game you're in for a disappointment.

Good fun game, great to pick up and play, lots to do, well recommended.
Lego Batman PSP April 15, 2010 Tinkerbell (Derbyshire, England) I would highly recommend this game. My son is a big fan of Indiana Jones Lego game and he wasn't disappointed with this game. I really like it myself and if you are a fan of the Lego series this is a great buy.
Batman June 23, 2009 M. G. Hatfield (North Wales UK) This is another movie or T.V> crossover to videogame with added bonus of LEGO.
This game is fun but annoying at times and hard to figure out at the start and gets very hard far too early.
The LEGO touch makes it a bit more fun but after a while even that gets old and boring.
LEGO Batman is a good game but once you get stuck it's very hard to move forward. This isn't the greatest PSP game on the market but may provide a little amount of fun until the puzzles get to complex.
Kapowww! Batman May 14, 2009 P. Foster (Kent, UK) I love this game, my boys have it on the Xbox 360 and it looks amazing but even on the scaled down PSP screen it is still stunning. They got me the PSP version for my birthday after getting me the Lego Indiana Jones for Christmas. Although I agree with some other reviews that it is not as good as the Indiana Jones one it is very close with lots of gags and the brilliant Lego humour that makes it un-put-downable. Any BatFan will love it and replay value is amazing as you have the now standard freeplay for all completed levels plus the ability to play as the villians trying to defeat Batman and Robin. This is a must have for anyones (old or young) PSP collection, I just can't recomend it enough.LEGO Batman: The Videogame (PSP)
