Essential Accessory May 19, 2009 R. Toogood 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
After using the original PSP1000 Logitech Play Gear Pocket for many years and widely regarded as an "Essential Purchase", I was pleased to find the PSP Slim (2000 & 3000) now catered for.
Logitech have done it again, this has to be the BEST case available to protect your investment. With its ergonomic Play-in-Case design and durable polycarbonate clamshell doubling up as a movie stand, you won't be disappointed with this product.
While closed access is still given to the shoulder buttons, power switch, charger and earphone socket. During game play all buttons are easily accessible with the hinged lid being firm enough to hold at what ever angle you wish. This is a real plus, unlike many other cases it won't fall back onto your fingers.
Two smooth bulges on the rear act as comfortable finger holds and also allow room inside for Sony's "Extended Life Battery Kit". Inside the case rubber inserts hold the PSP perfectly and while open your PSP won't fall out of the lower insert when tipped, that's how well it fits!
Logitech have also included a plastic template for cutting to size custom skins which can be placed between the removable rubber insert and front polycarbonate shell.
All in all it fits like it's an official case made by Sony and looks great to boot, you can't go wrong with this one.

Perfect Play Gear June 6, 2009 Longodds (London,UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Quite simply excellent. Fits new PSP like a glove. Took on holiday last week and kept the PSP safe and damage free. Hell, you can even flip it open and play whilst its still in the case. Only down side is having to take PSP out of the case to change games/movies on the UMD.Otherwise a great buy and its even cheaper now too!!
Great value and perfect piece of kit.
Excellent But Large August 23, 2010 J. Higgins-Commowick (Lincolnshire, UK) (Like most, I was baffled by the 'fun' rating here, but opted for 5 stars because I've had fun with this product by proxy, playing games with it attached.)
I can't better the previous highest-rated review for explaining the product's benefits, but Amazon won't stop emailing me about reviewing it so I will say this for posterity: it is extremely bulky. Personally I love this, and prefer playing with it on the PSP to without (the slim is very, well, slim) as it gives it a size and depth akin to a 360 controller or similar.
However, from the sleek and shiny pictures, I hadn't really given thought to just how big this thing would be. To clarify: it transforms your PSP Slim into something you could kill a man with. Doing so will almost certainly void your warranty, so I'll assume that's a negative for most people - it certainly was for me. The PSP Slim is roughly pocketable, even if it does make you look VERY pleased to see people; with this case on, however, it becomes strictly a handbag/rucksack affair. Or possibly a trenchcoat, if that's your thing (they have enormous pockets). What I'm trying to say is, it turns it into a brick.
The benefit is obvious - I can honestly say I'd feel safe dropping this thing onto concrete from a height. I haven't because the case would be ruined in the process, but I'm confident the PSP would be undamaged. It's that robust.
A final word: if you're NOT concerned about overall shock protection and are ONLY worried about screen protection, a possible alternative is the Thrustmaster battery pack that's also available on Amazon. I chose this instead, but it was a close thing and I may buy one of those as well - they're an extra 2 battery lives, like this case they make the PSP more ergonomic to hold, and they fold over to protect the screen. Worth a thought.
Really great product. July 7, 2010 Shida Penns I've been using Amazon for so many years, and this is the first time I've wanted to take the time to actually write a review (even if it is short :)).
This is a very solid, attractive case. For the price, it is amazing. I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. I just really like it.
