So Helpful May 13, 2008 Mr. C. Kirkham (England) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
What a Combo this is. Setup was easy for me and it really does increase productivity.
The keyboard, first, which is a good keyboard, it has loads of programmable buttons to play with which is good when you have a set application or 2 to open when you log onto Windows. The LCD screen is a nice feature too for when you want to know how long the song is you are listening to, and it also has temperature, key counter etc. It is designed for Vista (The keyboard is specifically, I have heard the mouse will work with OS X in which case buy the mouse individually).
The mouse has about 8/9 buttons on which can be set to do alot of useful tasks such as backwards and forwards, copy and paste etc. and the scroll wheel on the side can be used for Flip 3D which is useful.
The star of the show though really is the scroll wheel, which can be used for normal speed scrolling or hyper scrolling which is a real treat when theres alot of pages to get through.
However, if you're in the market for a new mouse buy this MX mouse it really is a good mouse, but not a good gaming mouse.
If you're in the market for a new keyboard though, it is a good keyboard but I'm sure theres better out there.
Good - but not that good April 30, 2009 Technophobe (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this keyboard/mouse combo recently to replace my MX5000 keyboard on which I cracked the LCD screen (oops!!). Having used the MX5000 combo for ages I eagerly anticipated a good upgrade with additional or better features.
The mouse is good and comfortable in use with an excellent shape and the control buttons are well placed. The one drawback, it is easy to misplace the mouse in its charging cradle so it appears locked in but is not making contact with the charging points. Check that the charge lights are actually lighting incrementally.
The keyboard is as you'd expect from Logitech - a good solid full sized keyboard with quiet and responsive keys. No better or worse than other Logitech keyboards. However the function buttons and hot keys do provide easy navigation shortcuts once you are either used to them or program them accordingly (very easy using the provided software). The LCD display is similar to the previous model MX5000 and if anything is a poorer display of white on black rather than black on white. This is one of the major reasons for four stars, by now Logitech really should be coming up with a colour screen on such a highly priced combo keyboard. It would really add to the quality and appearance of the item. Also they have removed the on/off key that was present on the MX5000 underside. This means the keyboard is constantly on although I presume in a dormant mode and taking little power from the batteries when not in use.
The bluetooth feature is its major benefit allowing freedom of use and the ability to pair other devices to your computer through the hub. Expensive way of doing it if that was the only reason!!
All in all the mouse is excellent, but the keyboard is not outstanding and that was what I was expecting given the quality of the previous MX5000 model.
great keyboard January 9, 2010 Raymond Lau (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mouse has the best scroll wheel, especially when navigating long pages. Keyboard is great, although I still prefer the MX3100 it replaced, function wise.
Excellent combo - What more could you ask for? September 22, 2009 Dubbed (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best mouse in the world - combine that with a good keyboard, now you're talking.
Logitech really have excelled. The functions of the mouse are stupidly good. As for th ekeyboard, they provide you enough browsing power + song information, that you'll be gasping for more. The keyboard keys are so good to type on, that you realise what you're fingers have been missing all these years.
Only problem: Left handers, can't use the mouse properly. Would be annoying to use.
Very good product, and thoroughly suggest this to anyone.

MX5500 - Replaced MX5000 March 27, 2009 Mr. J. A. Elliott (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the MX5500 Revolution as a replacement for the MX5000 which I had been using for a couple of years but the keyboard developed connection problems. The short cut keys on the MX5500 keyboard are a great help and the design & features of the mouse is excellent - very comfortable to hold. Would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a reliable bluetooth combo.
