Easy to use compact video cam, provides hours of high def pleasure, need to get second battery as you will always run out of power. Brilliant picture quality and clear sound.

I have had a HD40 for about two months and I am very pleased with it, and have just used it to video an amateur pantomime at my Church. The camera feels and looks very well made and the picture quality is excellent. I used external mics and mixer which worked well. I did find the zoom control a bit small and difficult to maintain a slow zoom in or out. A very good camera for the money. Now I wish I could have bought the new HD400!

I bought JVC GZ40EK, high definition cam corder with 120GB hard disk drive. Firstly it arrived the second day I ordered. Secondly, it is very easy to set up and was ready to use as soon as battery was charged. Very user friendly, high definition picture on my 46'' TV is crisp and clear. Very light weight and easy to operate. I took it to Turkey on my holidays and now I have all my memories on the disk. I have yet to transfer it to a DVD, so no comments on that but I would recommend it. You will not regret your decision.
