Wanted a speaker dock to go with my new sony mp3 S639FB. This was at least £20 cheaper than anywhere else. The only drawback that it said it would be 1-2 months until they had stock. Decided to go for it anyway and was so surprised when I got an email a couple of days later saying it would be dispatched soon. It arrived about 4days later.
POSTAGE TIME AND CONDITION
Postage was Super Saver and was about 1-2days after dispatch email so really quick as usual with Amazon! It was in a large cardboard box but fully protected around the sides by scrunched up paper
LOOKS
It looks the part I like the metal lining around the bottom gives it a really classy look. Nice fit on a desk too.
BUILD QUALITY
I have always been more than impressed by Sonys build quality and this is no exception. It is solid, and doesn't feel at all cheap. The player sits comfortably in when used with the adaptor provided in the mp3 package. If you dont have that dont worry it will still sit in it fine!
SOUND
First class goes nice and loud and got a nice bass - just what I was looking for
MISC
* This is fully portable as it takes 4AA Batteries
* There is a connection point at the back which allows you to connect the player to you computer while it sits in the dock, although as usual you will not be able to play any songs while it is connected.
* It also charges the device but obviously as you are using it at the same time, it will take longer to fully charge

I had been searching Curry's and the likes for a docking station for my Sony MP4; I kept getting told that they only sold Ipod docking stations and that I would have to buy a device to set up MP4 listening on one of these and blah,blah,blah (too much technology talk puts me to sleep!) - low and behold I found one on Amazon and a Sony one no less.
The estimated arrival for this was 29 Jan - I received it on Saturday 10 Jan.Result number 1.
The docking station is so simple to use,you dont even need to read any instructions,which is a huge bonus to me.Result number 2.
It is portable and lightweight and ideal for me to take on my self-catering holidays.Result number 3.
It also has a remote control.Result number 4.
The quality of sound is great - usually anything 'portable' lacks sound quality,this doesn't and the volume it reaches is pretty impressive too.Result number 5.
I can now listen to all 2000 songs on my MP4 without having to trawl through all my CD's.Result number 6.
This product is great value for money - if like me,you're not a techno whizz and all you want to do is play your music without having to think too much about it then go for it.
It's a must-have buy!

i had been looking for a dock for my walkman for a long while when i spotted this on amazon.it arrived two days after i ordered it, it is a great bit of kit.took it out of the box switched it and away it went.for its size the sound is very good.i use it when working on my laptop and the sound quality is more than adequate.if you have a walkman and are looking for a dock you could do no better than this little gem,

If you own a Sony Walkman, you need this. Don't believe some of the negative reviews, this unit is a lot better than you expect. The sound quality and stereo effects are impressive, even at loud volumes. The remote control works from the other side of the room, despite reviews to the contrary. Other plus points include the fact that it allows connection with non-Sony MP3 players via line-in port (good if, like me, your partner owns a different brand MP3 player, therefore you get a docking station to suit all needs), it charges your player without USB nonsense, and obvioulsy its size is a bonus - looking forward to taking this on holiday soon as it's compact, single-piece design means that it will easily tuck into corner of suitcase. On top of all that, it is currently nearly £20 cheaper than in Sony stores! This is the price you want to pay for such a system, any more and you'd be as well forking out for Micro Hi-Fi with USB/docking facility. You won't be disappointed.

I have had a Sony Walkman for just over a year and bought another speaker system which as usual was more suitable for an ipod and it didn't charge the Walkman so was rendered to the back of the cupboard.
Had one of these delivered on Saturday and it is simply the best thing I have bought this year and last for that matter. Its is neat the sound is clear and more then loud enough for me and it doesn't distort on the loudest setting. I love it and would recommend one to anyone that has a Walkman and I can see me using my Walkman more because of it. Not to mention the price which is amazing.
I have not got a bad word to say about this product.
