Great PC - A few teething troubles July 5, 2009

When delivered, the power lead for the fan over the processor wasn't connected properly so the processor was overheating and shutting down. As soon as I connected the lead properly, the fan worked fine & no more overheating.
The DVD drive was also not fitted well - so that the tray wouldn't close after putting a disk in. After I unscrewed the drive & re-fitted it, all is fine.
I then started to get 'blue screen' crashes. After running some diagnostic software I discovered that one of the RAM modules was faulty. As soon as I told Amazon, their customer service was FIRST CLASS. They immediately offered to send a replacement PC or refund me a fair amount as compensation. As I'd already installed / configured lots of software on the PC, I went for the second option & purchased new RAM which worked perfectuly. The system is now very fast, stable and a joy to use.
I think I was unlucky getting 3 issues, but build quality / quality control are clearly not top class. However, the issues were all quick to rectify, Amazon customer service was excellent and the PC is now running very well.

Have only just purchased this computer but it has been extremely easy to install and is working well! My son is really impressed with it so far. He needed a computer for all his games to run. It's very fast, great graphics and he can play games that he could not before and all on the highest resolution. So far it seems great value and perfect for gaming.
Also extremely impressed with Amazon. We purchased this computer late afternoon special delivery and it was with us by mid morning of the next day! Excellent.

Machine delivered when Amazon estimated, all connected up, DVD player would not open, could open it from the computer but would not open from the button on the tower. Must be all down to poor quality control, makes you wonder what the rest of the models are like.

nice piece of kit, unpacked and set up with internet running in 10 minutes. Plays recent games like Call of Duty world at war beautifully. A good gaming machine for a very reasonable price. Just wish it came with XP and not Vista, having said that i have had no probs with vista so far

We went through the nightmare of researching a custom built budget gaming PC and were put off by some of the horror stories we read on the forum's.
In the end Amazon's guarantee and back-up persuaded us to take the plunge on the Zoostorm and we have to say it is an excellent PC. The game capabilities are very good, plays all the new games. The overall performance is good for a PC costing this money. We even bought a USB TV card and it now also acts as an occasional TV, what more do you want.
The PC arrived quickly and very well packaged.
NOTE there is a piece of paper that is well worth reading if you DONT want to use the Bulldog virus software installed.
Overall great value for money, only slight criticism is the base unit buttons are a tad tacky.
Recommend for an all round PC including gaming.
We've now had this PC for just over a month.
