I bought the NW20ZF as a replacement for an ageing XP Vaio. The build quality of the hardware is solid and feels like it will last the course. The start up procedure took place without any major hitches. I have encountered no problems in one month of quite heavy use. Very fast operation and I am pleased that I paid a little extra for the ATI graphics chip.
One negative is that some of the bundled software is surplus and unnecessary and needed to be pruned to avoid over burdening the system.

Speed of delivery from Amazon never fails to amaze me, order Friday delivered Saturday morning magic.
This laptop is as I expected from Sony well built cracking display and looks excellent, keypad feels smooth and the seperation of the keys has reduced my errors to zero. I spent a lot of time researching laptops, I wanted an HDMI connection and Windows 7 and this one has it all, shame the virus scan is not for 12 months.
On first boot unit found my router instantly and downloaded all updates, if I could have waited another 2 weeks price down by £20 but thats life. Very happy with purchase.

I bought one of these for my girlfriend for Christmas and having seen it in action I'm very impressed. The finish is distinctive and a bit classier than the mass of anonymous black boxes out there, and the Vaio Gate that comes loaded on it is a nice feature. All my own stuff is Apple, but I must say I'm quite impressed with Windows7 on this Vaio - it's a lot cleaner than the vile Windows of old I remember, and it's got some clever touches. The whole laptop is nicely thought through - it's well designed, well specced and the software on it works well - though it's not immediately obvious how you add and remove programs from the Vaio Gate menu bar (in fact, you just drag them in or drag them out). So, overall, it's the best PC laptop I've seen, and well worth getting it for the ATI card that pushes its performance beyond the 80% of laptops that only have integrated graphics. Not that my girlfriend knows it's got decent graphics capability - the most taxing graphics tasks she's used it for is Solitaire...

Really nice computer to work on, smooth and comfortable. Like others say, there is quite a lot of superfluous software pre-loaded. Seem that most of this would only be of interest to a minority of users, so seems odd that we all get it. Surely would be better to have 10% of buyers having to go to the trouble of loading up this stuff than to have 90% have to go to the trouble of removing it. Still....
The only major criticism is that, while it functions smoothly when all is going well, it freezes more often than an eskimo's fanny. A little irritating.
